Made a Super-Hero Trading Card!

That was surprisingly fun AND easy!  And quick, too!  I made a trading card of BlueBox Man, and I only wish I could show it to you — but I suspect I needed to make those arrangements when I was on the website where I created it.  I saved it to My Pictures in My Documents, but can’t figure out a way to get it over here.  Fear not, if I eventually do figure something out, I’ll be sharing!

Still trying with those RSS feeds!

As I continue to muddle through, and browse through Learning 2.0’s blog, etc, I discovered ultimately the best idea was to subscribe to Bloglines in order to receive feeds.  I’ve done that, but wouldn’t you know they have some kind of problem with their own website at the moment, so they’re asking folks to check back later in order to subscribe or add feeds. 

Wouldn’t you know, … it’s always something!

Week 4’s topic: Wikis

So, I’m muddling along, and now I know a great deal more about wikis than before — and that’s a good thing for all concerned.  The Library Success wiki looks like it has a lot of stuff to explore.  I checked out the postings for Adult Programming, which were interesting; doesn’t look like this part of the wiki gets very many “posters”.  I’ll keep an eye on it …  Off to the next challenge!

Trying to add those RSS’s!(Week 3 activity)

Certainly the best thing about this whole exercise is the support provided by your co-workers.  Pretty well everyone in the branch was trying to give me a hand with adding feeds to my blog this morning, and one of them finally figured out that the problem was at WordPress’ end, so I’m just going to keep trying!

In the meantime, here are two I’d like to add, when I can.  The first is http://feeds.style.com/fashion_features.  You never know when a patron is going to have a query regarding style, designers, etc!  (I might have made a mean personal shopper, in another life!).

The other would be:  http://rss.cbc.ca/lineup/arts-books.xml  Info on books from the CBC?  That’s bound to come in handy!

Hey World, I’m Still Here!

Wasn’t it kind of the powers that be to give us a little more time to try to complete Learning 2.0?  Those of us who are still struggling are VERY grateful!  (and that means me!).
